What to Include in Your Wedding Invitations

Elaborate weddings and numerous wedding events can mean that your wedding invitations need to have more information than just the place and time. Here are 7 things to remember to add to your invites.

  1. Directions – Whilst smartphones have great map functions, some people do not want to rely on this to get to the venue (and some older guests may not even have a smartphone), so including directions is a great way to ensure that everybody gets to the venue and gets there on time. You can also include public transport info here too for those who choose not to drive.
  2. Accommodation Info – This can be to out-of-town guests. This is helpful as it allows guests to see what accommodation is nearby, as rooms get booked up fast it allows them to give a date to shoot for.
  3. Other wedding events – You may choose to keep these on a separate invite, however it is a good idea to direct guests to your wedding website and have all events listed here.
  4. Dress Code – Chances are that you have a dress code for your wedding, so make sure to state it here.
  5. Links to Social Media and your Wedding Website – A wedding website is a fundamental part of your wedding process, and linking this on your invites can mean that guests can easily find out more information about the venue here too.
  6. RSVP Cards – You need to know who is coming to your wedding, so include an RSVP card with easy tick boxes, and a self addressed and stamped envelope. Alternatively, you can send out E-Invites through email which make this process easier.
  7. Rehearsal Dinners and Events – You may need to send this out once you have your RSVP’s returned, but keep in mind that you will need to inform guests about times and dates of this well in advance.

As you will want your guests to have the extensive information for your wedding, it may be too much information to cram onto a small invite. E-Invites are a great way to send out your RSVP’s, streamlining the process and allowing you to send out personalised invites for each of your wedding events. Speak to us today to find out more.
